Joseph Cardinal Bernadine Assembly 3056 Welcomes You
Only Fourth Degree Knights may purchase the full regalia and join the Assembly’s Color Corps.  The Color Corps is the most visible arm of the Knights and is often seen in parades and other local events wearing their colorful regalia.  Official dress for the Color Corps is a black tuxedo, baldric, white gloves, cape and chapeau.  Baldrics are worn from the right shoulder to left hip and are color specific by nation.  In the United States, baldrics are red, white and blue.  Service baldrics include a scabbard for a sword and are worn over the coat while social baldrics are worn under the coat.

Many people have asked about the various colors of capes and chapeau plumes worn by the Fourth Degree Honor Guard when in full regalia, and what these colors signify. They are as follows:

Vice Supreme Master
Light blue cape and light blue chapeau plume

Master
Gold cape and gold chapeau plume

District Marshal
Green cape and green chapeau plume

Commander
Purple cape and purple chapeau plume

Navigator
White cape and white chapeau plume

General Membership
Red cape and white chapeau plume
Once a Sir Knight attains an office, he is entitled to wear the colors of that office until he elected or appointed to a higher office, except for the Marshal (appointed by the Master of District) and the Color Corp Commanders (appointed by the Navigator) who are appointed for a specific term and then revert to their previous colors when that term expires.

If you wish to join the Assembly’s Color Corp, send an email to our Color Corp Commander and let him know at 3056CCC@jcba3056.org

If you have, or know of someone who has the current regalia in good condition that is not using and would be willing to donate it to the Assembly, please contact the Assembly Faithful Navigator at 3056navigator@jcba3056.org.  Also, please inform your spouse that you wish to have your regalia donated to the Assembly upon your passing to be used by a new Sir Knight.
